The 2024 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills is a joyful wine that drinks well above its appellation, offering wildflowers, raspberries, fresh cherries, pure earth, rhubarb, candied cranberries, and subtle polish from aging in both wood and terracotta. Medium-bodied, it has depth without weight, fleshy yet well-defined tannins, excellent clarity, and impressive balance. Drink over the coming 8-10 years.

Coming from the Dundee Hills, Chris Mazepink is producing some of the region’s most impressive Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from a property he purchased and planted himself in 2013. Nestled adjacent to Domaine Drouhin and Archery Summit, where he previously served as winemaker, the site was once a walnut orchard. Today, he farms the vineyard organically and biodynamically, with a strong commitment to preserving the land’s natural biodiversity.

Our Take: Weighty and rustic, with leafy strawberry, wild raspberry, fresh mint and earthy spice. Broad and savory on the palate, with medium+ acidity and subtle, finely textured tannins that keep the wine lifted and balanced through the finish. A real charmer Pinot from the Willamette Valley.
