The 2024 Malbec Felino reveals bright red fruit, hints of black fruit and a balsamic spice accent. It is grippy, plush and juicy. This is a flavorful red with improved length compared to previous vintages. - By Joaquín Hidalgo, August 2025

• Winemaking: Fermented primarily in stainless steel to preserve the wine’s fresh, fruit-driven character
• Oak aging: Approximately 9% of the wine was aged for nine months in new French oak; the remainder was kept outside oak
• Alcohol: 14.5% ABV; some market labels list 14.1%
• Closure: Natural cork
• Farming: Viña Cobos reports working organically; the wine is listed as vegan and vegetarian
• Winemaking team: Viña Cobos, founded by Paul Hobbs, with Andrés Vignoni leading the Argentine winemaking team
• Drinking window: Delicious now, but the structure should support approximately 7–10 years of development

The 2024 Felino Malbec is vivid purple, offering blueberries, blackberries, plums, roses and a subtle menthol freshness. It is medium-bodied and juicy, with supple tannins and enough acidity to keep the ripe fruit energetic. The restrained use of oak makes this an especially transparent, approachable expression of Mendoza Malbec.
