Terlano Porphyr Riserva 2021
Three carefully selected vineyard sites, planted with vines approaching a century in age, form the foundation of the Lagrein Selection. These old vines produce fruit with remarkable concentration and richly textured, chewy tannins. The wine is fermented and aged in barriques, resulting in an intense and complex nose while retaining a compact, distinctive character on the palate.
Known as Lagrein Porphyry, the wine takes its name from the porphyry bedrock that underlies the vineyards of the region, a defining element of its terroir. The combination of old vines, concentrated fruit, and porphyry soils gives the wine depth, structure, and an unmistakable sense of place.

Dark, shiny purple red colour with a fine rim. Dense and concentrated on the nose, nuances of fully ripe blackberries and cranberries, with dark chocolate and a hint of lavender. Smooth on the palate, concentrated fruit on a velvety carpet of tannins, still somewhat youthful, but great elegance.
Winemaking: Manual harvest and selection of the grapes; destemming followed by slow must fermentation at a controlled temperature and gentle agitation of the must in stainless steel tanks; malolactic fermentation and aging in barriques for 18 months using one third new barrels; blending three months before bottling.
