Wine Enthusiast (88): Mocha, tilled soil and dark-skinned fruit aromas lead the nose. On the taut palate, close-grained tannins accompany blackberry jam, vanilla and suggestions of clove.

Falstaff (92): Clear, brightening ruby with brick-red accents. Lush bouquet of blackberry confit, raisins, freshly ground coffee, roasted aromas and chocolate. Opens up juicy on the palate, builds up in layers, well-integrated use of oak, full-bodied, velvety tannins, very balanced, lingers long on the finish.
