This is a great wine of Champagne that unveils salinity and a noble bitterness of an old gold color. A rich and precise aromatic palate with toasted notes. Moderate oxidation reveals hints of delightfully candied grapes, ginger bread and figs. This Champagne spreads out with great fullness and texture, with wonderful persistence in aromas.

Grapes: 65% Chardonnay and 35% Pinot Meunier from 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

Time on Lees: 13 years (156 months) sur lattes
1er Village: Les Champs Chevaliers 1er Cru plot in Vrigny, 50+ year old vines on Thanetian sands.
Fermentation: Wine ferments spontaneously in 600-l demi-muids (10%) and stainless-steel tanks (90%).
Élevage: Wine ages in small pièces Champenoises, 205L.
Press Wine: Cuvée from first pressing retained for Champagnes, Taille second pressing sold off
