The 2023 Pinot Noir (Santa Barbara County) is another fine appellation-level offering from Presqu'ile. Sweet red cherry, cedar, tobacco, dried flowers and herbs all grace this mid-weight yet juicy Pinot. This floral, savory red is all charm. Drinking Window: 2024 - 2030

There’s plenty to like in this range from Presqu'ile. This year, I find the estate wines to be especially fine, while those made from outside sources show more variability, something that is to be expected in such a challenging vintage. As good as the top wines can be here, I must give major kudos to the team led by longtime winemaker Dieter Cronje and consulting winemaker Jeremy Seysses for the appellation wines, all of which deliver outstanding quality and value. I would be happy to drink them any day of the week.
