Our Take
Pale straw-yellow in color with light green reflections. The nose is fresh and moderately pronounced, led by lemon, grapefruit and citrus zest, followed by green apple, pear and early-picked white peach. Notes of acacia, freshly cut herbs and subtle grassy Sauvignon character emerge with air, supported by a clean, chalky mineral quality.
The palate is light to medium-bodied with bright, mouthwatering acidity and a slightly rounded texture from its time on the fine lees. Citrus and crisp orchard fruits lead, with green apple, lemon peel and white peach carrying through to a clean, mineral-driven finish. Fresh, balanced and very easy to drink, this is a classic, approachable Sancerre that delivers plenty of regional character at a very fair price.
