The 2024 Chardonnay Pearlstad Vineyard entices the senses with a delicately attractive bouquet of wet stones, honeysuckle, white flowers and lemony spice. It opens with a pretty inner sweetness that is quickly contrasted by decidedly salty mineral tones as crunchy orchard fruits saturate the palate. Our Tasting Note: Lemon yellow, straw, some green flecks of color. A nose of fresh citrus, iris floral, saline and chipped chalky stones. On the palate we have a med body, med/med+ acids, a med+ palate intensity and finish with the citrus, saline, and florals. Only 4% new oak, 65% French oak and 35% American oak.  The American oak is Oregon-based from the woods of Martin-Woods and very tight grained, superb!

Elevation / aspect: 400 - 500 ft, south-west slope
Soils series: steiwer & chehulpum (marine sediments, shallow to bedrock)
Planted: 2016, clonal selections 76, 96 and 548
Press regime: whole cluster, oxidative juice handling (without sulfur)
Elevage: 14 months in 228L & 400L Oregon & French cooperage (neutral)
