Our Tasting Note: Med straw gold with green flecks. Pronounced nose and palate of citrus, apple, melon, with tons of white fresh cut florals, aqua mineral and stone, very, very classic. The palate is medium bodied, so complex and layered, gorgeous mineral and tense fruits, long and fresh on the finish, perfect harmony of minerality, fruit and florals. A super long and perfumed palate!
Probably the most “classic” of all the Grand Cru Chablis wines. For those who like a prototypical Chablis, the Preuses is perfect. Overlooking the Chablis valley, Chablis Grand Cru Preuses is quite imposing. Its 10.8 hectares, facing south and southwest, are bathed in sunlight for most of the day. In the summer, they take advantage of the last rays until late in the evening. On the surface, the soils are predominantly clay-limestone and brown in color, although some plots are covered with white, thinner clays.
