Medium-bodied, it fills the palate with silky tannins, refreshing acidity, and a lingering finish with a gentle citrus oil nuance. Drink 2027-2040.

The 2022 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba is a fine village-level bottling from Baudana. Macerated cherry, dried herbs, orange peel, cedar and sweet pipe tobacco lend notable aromatic presence. On the palate, though, the 2022 feels a bit soft and lacks the mid-palate depth found in the best years. It's a solid effort for the year.
