The 2022 Barolo Cerretta is the most potent and brooding of the Baudana Barolos. Dark-toned fruit, lavender, licorice, game, incense and dried flowers build nicely in the glass. Like all the other Barolos in the range, the Cerretta opens very nicely with air as the tannins start to soften and the fruit emerges. I especially admire the energy here. This is a terrific wine for the year.
