100% Pinot Meunier. Planted by the Laherte family between 1947 and 1953, two old vineyards contribute to this cuvee, a tribute to their ancestors and to the long underrated but now championed grape variety Pinot Meunier.  Planted around the home village of Laherte in Chavot, the terroirs are Les Rouges Maisons and Les Monts Bougies. The terroir is clay and silty soils, with a presence of flints and little stones and chalky subsoils.

Floral and understated, the 2021 Extra Brut Les Vignes d'Autrefois (100% Meunier) is gorgeous. Crushed flowers, mint, lemon oil, chalk and citrus are all laced together. This is an especially perfumed, floral style for the Autrefois. Old vines dating back to 1947 in Chavot and Mancy confer tons of nuance. Dosage is 2.5 grams per liter.
