The Goodfellow Family Cellars Willamette Valley Extra Brut NV is the inaugural sparkling release from winemaker Marcus Goodfellow, known for his site-specific, traditional-method wines in Oregon. It is a non-vintage (NV) blend of roughly 68–70% Pinot Noir and 30–32% Chardonnay.
- Style & Dosage: It is made using the traditional Champagne method with a low dosage of 2.5 grams per liter, making it very dry but balanced by ripe fruit.
- Flavor Profile: Expect a "weightless" yet textured palate featuring notes of yellow apple, mandarin peel, and pear, alongside savory undertones of pastry dough, wheat fields, and saline minerality.
- Sourcing: The fruit is drawn from premium Willamette Valley sites, including Whistling Ridge, Durant, Temperance Hill, and Tsai vineyards.
-
ABV: Typically around 12%, contributing to its light-bodied and "ethereal" character.
