Primofiore, meaning “first flower,” is the estate’s youngest red release. The blend is 50% Corvina and Corvinone, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc accounting for the other half. The local varieties are pressed fresh, while the Cabernet is partially dried. This gives Primofiore a different balance from the longer-aged reds, retaining more of the fresh-fruit character while incorporating some concentration from the dried Cabernet. Aging takes place in Slavonian oak.
