The 2024 Domaine Gueneau “Les Terres Blanches” Sancerre is a testament to the rich terroir of the Loire Valley. This wine is crafted from Sauvignon Blanc vines that thrive on the chalky clay-limestone slopes of Sury-en-Vaux and Chavignol, which impart a distinct depth and minerality. Farmed under a sustainable culture raisonnée approach, this wine beautifully captures the essence of its region with bright citrus, herbal, and flinty notes.
Composition: Sauvignon Blanc from 25-year-old vines rooted in terres blanches soils.
Winemaking: Hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed and undergo a short cold maceration before fermenting in stainless steel.
Aging: Aged for about eight months on fine lees to enhance texture and complexity.
