Aromatically this opens up immediately; intense, earthy, savory and fresh. After an extra sip it starts to unfurl with layers of red cherry, raspberry, and cedar (boy do I love that cedar note). Great persistence and remarkably balanced, this should age very well.I think this has crossed the line as the best wine I've ever had from Drouhin in Oregon!

The 2023 Pinot Noir Laurène has dramatically opening scents of black cherry, blueberry, tobacco, damp earth and garrigue. The medium-bodied palate is powerfully styled, matching concentrated, nuanced flavors with seamlessly integrated oak spice. It’s structured by velvety tannins and mouthwatering acidity and has a long, latent finish. It will benefit from time in the cellar. 3,725 cases produced.

The 2023 Pinot Noir Laurene is darkly floral, with a coy mix of dusty lavender and violets complementing dried black cherries. A round and supple persona soothes as ripe wild berry fruits wash across a stream of cool-toned acidity. Stainingly long, the finish boasts a pleasant black-tea-like bitterness that tugs at the cheeks. Classic to the core.

Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir
Vinification: Total destemming, with long and cool fermentations in gravity-flow winery. Aging: Aged 12-14 months in custom french oak barrels from Burgundy (20% new), with an additional 6-18 months in bottle before release.
