99 Vinous
The 2022 Montrachet Grand Cru is matured in just over 50% new oak for the first 12 months and in used barrels for the remaining nine months. The captivating bouquet has intense aromas of Golden Delicious, grilled almond, crushed limestone, and just a faint touch of saffron. The palate is medium-bodied with wonderful balance, hints of white chocolate and wild peach infusing Clementine and lemon notes. Very cohesive, with an enormously persistent tail on the finish. Majestic.

97 Decanter
Beautiful concentration of exotic aromas ranging from quince to ripe apricot and nectarine, with hints of acacia flowers, spice and cream. The texture is plump and rich but not overly so – there is a huge amount of extract but enough acidity to bring the wine into a lush, decadent balance. The grapes are from the domaine's 0.33ha old-vine parcel; they were pressed as whole clusters and fermented and aged in new casks.

97 Jasper Morris
7.5 barrels made ! Pale lemon yellow. The bouquet starts discreetly but without ever suggesting that there isn’t majesty behind. This is not the explosion of 1001 fruits but proceeds at a calmer pace, though without concealing its Montrachet majesty. Hugely more at the back of the palate, a few riper notes just emerging right at the finish. Immense persistence. Drink from 2033-2040.

The 2023 Montrachet Grand Cru is broad and dramatic, bursting with aromas of peach, white flowers, honeycomb, nutmeg and vanilla pod. Full-bodied, layered and unctuous, with a fleshy, enveloping core of fruit that's girdled by lively acids, it's a terrific wine that wears its heart on its sleeve.
