Plenty of ripe citrus, honeyed orange, and minty nuances emerge from the 2022 Domaine De La Solitude Blanc, a juicy, lively, beautifully pure white with medium-bodied richness and depth and terrific depth of fruit and intensity. Based on 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon, raised on one-third new oak, it’s perfect for drinking over the coming 4-6 years, if not upwards of a decade.

The 2022 Domaine de la Solitude Blanc has evolved on the nose with hints of tropical fruit, beeswax, apple blossom and melon. The palate is well balanced with a crisp opening and fine weight, offering a slightly waxy texture. Quite spicy on the finish, this wine has commendable weight and will be difficult to resist in its youth. There's terrific volume and overall presence here. - By Neal Martin on January 2025

Our tasting notes: Our tasting ended with the traditional white Bordeaux being served last. This Bordeaux Blanc was 85% Semillon, 10% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Muscadelle, with 13.5% ABV. During elevage, the wine spent 7-10 months on the lees on neutral oak; therefore, the wine has a wonderful silky yet slightly oily and creamy mouthfeel. The wine was lively, yet delicate, with a wonderful citrus/lime and stone fruit (peaches/apricots) backbone. Really nice wine, delicious.
