Our Tasting Note
Drinking Window 2026 - 2031
This is a beautiful Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley's sister region to Sancerre (the world's most popular SB region), very crisp, pronounced citrus, flinty, green apple and floral notes with the telltale gooseberries, grapefruit, and grass that Sauvignon Blanc is world famous for. Medium bodied, this is filigreed with racy acidity (med+). To top it off, the bottle has a beautiful label!
Grape: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Village: Berry-Bouy, Menetou-Salon
Vineyard: An assemblage of several parcels.
Soil: 115 million year old Kimmeridgian limestone clay and marl
Viticulture: Organic certified since 2002 and all harvests are manual.
Winemaking: The grapes are vineyard sorted then direct pressed. Indigenous yeasts lead to a long slow fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks usually extends into early December. Elevage is also in stainless tanks on the fine lees for several months.
