The 2022 Fiano di Avellino Ciro 906 is more savory than sweet with dried herbs, gravel dust, lemon pith and ginger-spiked green apples. The palate is deeply textural, silken yet salty with ripe pit fruits and crunchy mineral tones that add form. A pop of zesty acidity adds an airy lift through the finish, as nuances of tart citrus pucker the cheeks and inner florals slowly fade. I could sip this all day long.
