The 2019 Chianti Classico Riserva is one of the finest wines I have tasted from Tenuta Cappellina. Ample and vibrant in the glass, the 2019 offers a compelling mix of rich, textured fruit and bright acids that pull it all together. Rose petal, blood orange, cinnamon and new leather lend notable complexity throughout. This is another superb showing from an under-the-radar estate that has only suffered in profile because of some inconsistency, as opposed to a lack of potential. Our Tasting Note:  Medium ruby red with vibrant ruby edges. The nose is pronounced, more intensity, more perfumed, more refined, more elegant, more of everything great a Riserva should deliver. Fresh red cherry, blood orange, fresh wild florals, subtle baking spice and saddle leather, with notes of earth and  crushed stone minerality.  Medium bodied, med/med+ tannins, elegant and intense flavor persistence, so good, so persistent and classic.  Oustanding!
