The 2020 Chianti Classico is a fabulous wine that overdelivers big time. Sumptuous, racy and inviting, the 2020 is lights-out. Dark blue-toned fruit, lavender, spice and a kick of licorice all meld together. Our Tasting Note: Not a trace of the hot growing conditions in 2020. A medium ruby red core, lighter red-pink edges. An intense med+ nose, more savory, garden herbs, bayleaf, bitter cherry, tarry, some smoke, and a touch of bitter chocolate, lovely and surprisingly fresh. The palate is medium bodied, very silky and fine medium grain tannins, well integrated acidity too.  The finish is long, with the fruit, spice and chocolate tailing off nicely.
