Borgo San Daniele Friulano Isonzo DOC 2024
Borgo San Daniele Friulano Isonzo DOC 2024
Our Take: A straw yellow pale color. Aromas of wildflowers, white peach and pear, with notes of candied orange peel, herbs and fresh almond. The medium bodied wine is elegant with a finely textured yet fresh palate, very good flavor persistence, with savory minerality and Friulano’s characteristic almond finish.
Sustainable viticulture practices, manual harvesting based on the optimal maturity of each grape, indigenous yeasts, long fermentations and bottling without filtration.

The 80/20 élevage is particularly interesting, 80% of the grapes are picked at full ripeness and raised in stainless steel, while the remaining 20% is harvested later and matured in 2,000-liter Slavonian oak casks before the two components are later blended. The large format Slavonian oak adds more texture and complexity while preserving Friulano's freshness and varietal character.
