100% Pinot Meunier. Planted by the Laherte family between 1947 and 1953, two old vineyards contribute to this cuvee, a tribute to their ancestors and to the long underrated but now championed grape variety Pinot Meunier.  Planted around the home village of Laherte in Chavot, the terroirs are Les Rouges Maisons and Les Monts Bougies. The terroir is clay and silty soils, with a presence of flints and little stones and chalky subsoils.

92 pts Vinous (Galloni)
The 2020 Extra Brut Vignes d’Autrefois, 100% Meunier, bristles with tension. Bright, focused and sizzling with energy, this is all class. Readers will find an especially tense, saline Meunier. Hints of pear, dried flowers, mint and crushed rocks are all beautifully delineated. I would give this a good bit of air, as it needs time to come together. Dosage is 2 grams per liter. Disgorged: December 2023. Drinking Window 2024 - 2032 - By Antonio Galloni on March 2024
