Primarily Sangiovese with small amounts of Merlot, Malvasia Rosso; estate vineyards in San Casciano Val di Pesa, Chianti Classico DOCG; clay and limestone soils with abundant fossils; vines over 25 years old; grapes hand harvested and sorted at cellar; fermented in stainless steel tanks at 77ºF; secondary ferment in tank; aged 15 months in barrels and barriques; bottle aged at least 3 months.
