Bright red, purple tone robe; the bouquet is very pure, shows pepper-licorice, violets. The palate bears floral, crystalline black fruit, blue fruit, holds fine powder tannins; it’s not especially profound, but runs along well, gathers a light accumulation of matter towards the finish. 100% Syrah (2015, a little 2016, planted by Franck, mainly clone, a little massale) on clay with granite, very acid soils on Les Prés at 370 metres near Saint-Péray, very windy, land owned by Chrystelle’s grandfather, whole bunch 2-week fermentation, wild yeasts, manual cap punching, aged used 228-litre & 600-litre oak casks 12-14 months, unfined, unfiltered, half sold to Singapore, 300-2,000 b
