• 90% Grenache, 5% Mourvedre, 5% Clairette
• Vines average 45 years of age in red sandy clay, limestone, and scree soils, 10 ha
• Grapes are sourced from lieux-dits Poncet, Thomas, Les Pallières, and Terrasse du Diable
• Traditional fermentation lasts 25-30 days in temperature-controlled cement cuves and wooden vats
• Wine ages in cuves for 10 months, then in foudres for 12 months
• Wine is bottled unfiltered and is released two years after the harvest
• “Terrasse du Diable,” encompasses the low-yielding vines from the higher altitudes that express great structure and intense minerality

Dark garnet color. Smoke- and spiced-tinged dark fruit, floral and garrigue aromas pick up a peppery element with air. Offers deep blackberry, kirsch, candied lavender, baking spice flavors and a touch of licorice. Finishes impressively long and spicy, with chewy tannins coming in late. This is still quite youthful and deserves some patience, or at the very least, decanting.
