The Pibarnon Blanc 2024 is star bright with a very clean nose with notes of peach, sweet pears, and honeysuckle.  On the palate, this wine is smooth, with medium acidity and med/med+ body.  Made with 50% Clairette, 30% Bourboulenc and the remaining 20% a mix of Marsanne and Ugni Blanc, this white is multi-layered with the Clairette giving it acidity and the Marsanne giving it texture.  Very well-made wine, a long, layered and lasting finish.  Outstanding.

The elegant and perfumed 2023 Bandol Blanc from Château de Pibarnon is a real success this year, despite a challenging vintage in the region. It evokes aromas of citrus, spring flowers, curry leaves and white fruits mingled with spicy notes. Medium-bodied, perfectly balanced and fleshy, it has a fleshy core of fruit, bright acids and a long, mineral and saline finish. This blend of 55% Clairette, 30% Bourboulenc and the rest of a mix of other white grapes is an outstanding wine. Published: Jul 03, 2024
