Our Tasting Note: Med+ ruby red with a pinkish edge. A savory red blend with notes of blackberry, black cherry, dark plum, and black olive layered over dried herbs and sweet spices. The palate is generous yet composed, framed by fine tannins and fresh acidity, with a crushed, hot stone undertone that lingers through a smooth and persistent finish.  For the money this wine texturally is amazing, the long, sensual finish is incredibly balanced and persistent.

Trellising: Mostly bush vines, some trelissed vines

Maturation: 14 months mixed use French oak
Vineyard: The Syrah is grown from echalas vines (bush vines) from three sites, as well as trellised vines (two sites). The Mourvèdre and Carignan are both from echalas vines (2 sites) while Carignan (1 site). Soils are clay-shale rich soil with a high component of quartz rock. Using our different varietals from different aspects of the Olifantsberg Mountain, situated at 350 m to 470 m above sea level they capture all the different characteristics of their beautiful terroir.
