Falstaff (91): Shimmering ruby with a slight garnet edge. Fragrant and clear nose of plums, blackberries and dark cherries. On the approach a lot of juicy fruit, round and smooth on the palate, then unfortunately shows some drying tannin.

James Suckling (Not provided): Very reductive out of the glass. Beyond this, however, there is an attractive red-fruited spectrum beyond. Dried tobacco, camphor, star anise and orange peel. Detailed tannins find confluence with bright, almost alpine acidity. Good drinking, although I wouldn’t wait too long. Drink or hold.
