This is a special limited-edition release. The Ciro Biondi "Centenario" Etna Rosso 2023 was created to commemorate 100 years since the Biondi family first bottled wine under their own label (1923).

The 2023 vintage was notoriously difficult due to severe hail and rain, which destroyed over 70% of Ciro’s red grape production. Because the yields were so low, instead of producing his usual single-vineyard wines, Ciro blended the best fruit from his three top sites into this single "Centenario" bottling.

The Ciro Biondi Centenario 2023 is an elegant, high-altitude red that highlights the floral and mineral character of Etna’s southern slopes. The nose is highly aromatic, offering notes of wild strawberry, red currant, and dried rose petals over a base of crushed volcanic rock and white pepper. On the palate, the wine is light-bodied and silky, balancing tart cherry fruit with vibrant acidity and fine, feathery tannins. This limited bottling delivers a long, savory finish that reflects both its volcanic terroir and the unique blending of Biondi’s top vineyard sites.
