The 2024 Soave Classico Otto impresses with its fresh mix of vividly ripe orchard fruit. It’s airy and lifted with notes of minty herbs, sweet spices and white smoke. A burst of vibrant acidity invigorates the palate as salty minerals saturate. Crisp and clean, the Otto closes with a long, citrus-inflected finish. - By Eric Guido on April 2025
A blend of Garganega from several parcels, the vines age between 30 to 60 years old. All grapes are hand-harvested, and the wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel. This dry white sees five months of lees aging give a rich texture. Graziano Prà began bottling his family's estate's wines for the first time in the 1980s. He has since become renowned as crafting some of Italy's finest white wines.
Pale yellow in color, this wine offers a bouquet bursting with notes of flowers (hawthorn and jasmine) and yellow fresh fruits (drupe, peach and apricots). On the palate, it is medium-bodied and flavorsome, full of fruit, with clear mineral notes. Really good as an aperitif paired with delicate nibbles or sweet Parma ham and fresh cheese. Excellent with pasta or rice-based fish dishes and vegetable soups.
