90-91 pts – Vinous Media (Galloni) - for the 2021 - 2022 not yet rated
The 2021 Pinot Noir (Santa Barbara County) is another terrific appellation-level wine in this range from Presqu'ile. Bright acids, sweet floral top notes and bright red cherry fruit all run though this vibrant appellation-level Pinot. The 2021 is impeccably done. Even better, it is a fabulous value. Tasted from tank just prior to bottling.  I continue to be impressed with what I am seeing at Presqu'ile. The estate Pinot has long been the problem child in this range, but the team led by winemaker Dieter Cronje and consulting winemaker Jeremy Seysses of Domaine Dujac seem to have found the approach that works with this site. That means picking a little riper and destemming entirely, quite a radical change from the past. The results are evident.

We tasted the Presqu'ile Pinot Noir last year and sold a ton!  We tasted the new vintage last week, and it is just as good so we remain very impressed at the amazing character and quality.  These easily are the best pinots from California (and Oregon for that matter) at this price!  The aromas were off the charts, textbook, perfect Pinot.  Vibrant, very good flavor depth and complexity, but elegant and not weighty on the palate - perfectly balanced!  The thing we liked the most is that we kept going back for sips without even thinking about it.

Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media on Presqu'ile 2018-2019 wines:
Presqu'ile makes some of the most distinctive wines in Santa Barbara. The wines are weightless and vibrant, yet also convey plenty of depth and expression of place.  The vineyard designates saw 16 months in barrel, on the lees, with no racking until bottling. What always strikes me about these wines is how much character Storm captures from each of the sites he works with. These are special wines.
