Notes from the Vineyard
A blend of four plots located on high hillsides. This fruity and delicious wine offers, thanks to its well-present tannins, good aging potential, as it can also be enjoyed in its youth.

Situation
The Pommard vineyard is located in Côte de Beaune, between Beaune and Volnay. The controlled designation of origin for Pommard wines was recognized in 1936, one of the first in Burgundy. Only red wines are produced under the Pommard appellation. The Pommard Vaumuriens is located above the Rugiens on the Volnay side.

Features
The vines have an average age of 70 years. They are planted with high-quality, low-yielding Pinot Noir. Pruning is simple Guyot and the vines are being converted to organic farming.

Winemaking
The harvest is manual with rigorous sorting in the vineyard, the grapes are destemmed then stored in vats whose temperature is regulated using flags. Pre-fermentation maceration for a few days followed by alcoholic fermentation. The rhythm of punching down and pumping over is decided during tasting. The maceration and fermentation temperature is controlled. After pressing, the new wine is then placed in French oak barrels for the entire duration of its aging.
