Discover the elegance of Alessandro Rivetto Barbaresco Montersino, a wine that embodies the unique terroir of the Montersino cru. With aromas of ripe cherries, mineral notes, tea leaves, and rose petals, this wine offers a complex and inviting profile. Its structure is round and feminine, marked by rigid, mature tannins and fresh acidity, resulting in a well-balanced and persistent finish.
Composition: Nebbiolo. The vines thrive in clay-limestone soils, imparting distinctive characteristics.
Winemaking: Following stalk removal and cold pressing for two days, fermentation occurs at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. The maceration lasts about 20 days.
Aging: Aged for a minimum of 26 months, with at least 9 months in wood.
Wine Enthusiast (86): This opens with aromas recalling grilled Porcini, prune and weedy underbrush. The aromas follow over to the palate along with black olive, game and whiff of barnyard.
