For the first time the Boudots is half young vines and half old, so needs to be picked earlier than in the past. A bright mid purple, there is an impressive intensity to the fruit, half red berries, half darker raspberry, half Nuits and half Vosne. This is not too bulky, too massive, but entirely harmonious with a long fine and fresh finish. Drink from 2032-2040. Tasted: November 2023.
(92-95) pts Burghound
A wonderfully spicy and broad-ranging nose is comprised by notes of purple fruit earth exotic tea and a floral top note. There is both first-rate density and powerful to the sappy big-bodied flavors that coat the palate with dry extract that also buffers the firm tannic spine shaping the beautifully persistent finish. This is terrific and a wine that should age effortlessly. (Drink starting 2034)

Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er cru lies in the “Zone Vosnoise” or northern end of Nuits-Saint-Georges just below Les Damodes. It borders Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts 1er just to its north. Its position slightly lower on the slope with deep soil full of pebbles results in a richer and fuller wine.
