The 2019 Il Templare brings together all the elements that make the best whites here compelling. Bright and focused, with tons of depth, the Templare has a ton to offer. Dried orchard fruit, crushed flowers, spice, mint and chamomile lend notable complexity throughout. This rich, potent Vernaccia-based blend is compelling.

Not made every vintage and the most RARE of the Montenidoli wines, it is made from the 3 traditional white grapes in Tuscany: vernaccia (in the above wines), trebbiano and malvasia. Templare, of course, if you can't tell from the name, is made in memory of the Templar Knights, who lived at Montenidoli. This wine is also vinified carefully and entirely in used French oak barrels, as the Knights Templar did. It is a rich wine that refines in the bottle for a very long time. I myself have maybe a bottle or 2 in my cellar, all I could ever get allocated. YOU can have all you want and from TWO vintages!
