The Croix Boisee comes from on of the top vineyard sites in Chinon, a true Grand Cru!  The style here is more fruit focused as the vintage is more solar, with fine and silky tannins that are long and gentle.  Aromatically endowed with fruit, spice and a touch of smoke, this delivers a classic profile for this much heralded site!

Our Tasting Note:
A deep ruby core, vibrant red ruby edges. The nose is pronounced but elegant with freshness, red currants, cherries, a touch of wood smoke, not a hint of pyrazines, some graphite and tobacco spice finishes it off.  Medium bodied palate, medium acidity and fine, youthful and rip tannins, with pronounced flavor intensity that sails into a med+ finish fruit and spice finish.  *More pleasure than nerdy compared to the Chene Vert!
