Our Tasting Note:
A medium ruby core, a shade deeper than the Langhe Nebbiolo.  A deeper, more serious bouquet with a pronounced nose of red raspberry, currants and red cherry, savory notes of allspice, tar and tobacco, crushed red flowers and roses. Med+ bodied, with med+ tannins that are structured but are well integrated, with excellent med/med+ acidity.  The flavors are pronounced, with a persistent and pretty palate that is perfumed with along, slightly structured finish.    classic persistence through to a med+ fresh and youthful finish, the structural tannins tailing off last. Winery:  Time does not exist but for certain great wines it is necessary: Tomorrow, this is our Barolo. Tomorrow because it is necessary to wait to enjoy an organoleptic balance dictated by this wine that represents the King of Italian enology. We vinify grapes from our vineyards in La Morra and Grinzane Cavour in this wine. The goal is to produce a well-drinking Barolo that respects the characteristics of the vintage and the winery's style. Barolo is brick red in colour with orange highlights; the nose releases aromas of coffee, tobacco, vanilla and red fruits, accompanied by violets and roses. On the palate it is imperious, powerful, elegant, soft and full. It goes perfectly with dishes of character, red meats in general, game and mature cheeses. Also excellent as a meditation wine.

Terroir
Camparo’s Barolo comes from organically farmed vineyards in La Morra, one of the Barolo zone’s most renowned communes. Sitting at 300–350 meters above sea level, these south and southeast-facing parcels benefit from full sun exposure while enjoying cooling breezes that preserve aromatic lift. The soils are classic Tortonian marl—a mix of clay, limestone, and magnesium-rich silt—that produces Barolo with supple tannins, vivid aromatics, and an elegant texture. The estate has been certified organic since 2000, with a focus on low yields, biodiversity, and minimal intervention to express the vineyard’s natural character.

Vinification
The 2019 vintage was hand-harvested in mid-October after a long, steady growing season. Grapes were carefully sorted, destemmed, and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with an extended maceration to gently extract color, tannin, and complexity. Malolactic fermentation took place in oak, followed by 24 months of aging in large Slavonian oak casks. The wine rested in bottle before release, ensuring tannin integration and aromatic harmony.

Tasting Notes
The 2019 Barolo shows a luminous garnet core. The bouquet opens with classic Nebbiolo purity—rose petals, red cherry, and wild strawberry—layered with notes of licorice, anise, cedar, and a subtle balsamic edge. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with refined yet persistent tannins. Flavors of ripe red berries and blood orange are framed by earthy spice and a fine mineral streak. The finish is long, balanced, and savory, promising excellent development with age.

Serving & Pairing
Serve at 17–18 °C, ideally after 1–2 hours of decanting in its youth. This Barolo pairs beautifully with braised veal shank, mushroom risotto, tajarin with white truffle, or aged Parmigiano Reggiano. With proper cellaring, it will evolve gracefully over 15–20 years, developing deeper notes of dried flowers, tobacco, and forest floor.
