Wine Critic Reviews
Adrian van Velsen - vvWine.ch (92): Still waters run deep, in this case dark fruity and complex, very noble, lots of minerality, blackberries and cherries, floral notes, herbs. On the palate, extremely crisp and fresh, lively, with delicate fruit, a very good structure and lots of breed, what an energy bundle. Precise, red-fruity, elegant. From now (decant) until 2040. (January 2024)
Vinum Wine Magazine (18): Mineral and citrus notes; fresh start, racy development over pronounced structure, very long, mineral fruity citrus finish (green lemon) great wine, still gains with maturity. The best white Couhins so far.
Andreas Larsson - Tasted (93): Youthful and structured, a backbone of youthful but ripe tannin, rather cabernet scented with cassis, sage and darker fruit notes, good volume and freshness with pure dark fruit and a long fresh finish.
Wine Enthusiast (93): Owned by the French National Institute of Agricultural Research, this estate has produced a wine with citrus flavors and crisp fruit texture. Light wood aging is just right for the fruit, adding spice and light toastiness to the herbal Sauvignon Blanc flavors. Drink from 2023.
Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider (91): Wet earth, forest leaf, herbs, tobacco wrapper and cherries shine in the perfume. Medium-bodied, elegant, sweet and fresh, this will drink with pleasure early in life, but it has the ability to age and evolve for 15 or more years with ease. Drink from 2023-2036.
Falstaff (93): Dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. A hint of cocoa, soft notes of mint, dark berry fruit, ripe plums, some dried fruit. Medium body, black cherries, integrated tannins, chocolaty touch on the finish, lingers, has ageing potential.
