Peixes da Rocha 2019 is a captivating red wine emerging from the highest vineyards in the villages of Punxeiro and Santa Marina de Froixais. Situated at an elevation of 850 metres, these vineyards boast a distinctive terroir characterized by granitic soils. Composition: This wine is crafted from a field blend of Mouratón, Mencía, Red Grenache, Grao Negro, and Godello, with vines aged between 60 to 80 years, thriving on granitic soils.
Winemaking: Embracing natural techniques, the grapes undergo fermentation with native yeasts, including whole clusters and long macerations.
Aging: The wine matures for 12 months in used French oak barrels, enhancing its complexity without overpowering its natural character.
