The 2023 Domaine Rougeot Meursault 'Sous la Velle' is a splendid expression of the esteemed Cote de Beaune terroir. Composition: 100% Chardonnay from over 55-year-old vines, planted in the 'Sous la Velle' climat with rich soils and less limestone.

Winemaking: Hand-harvested, direct pneumatic pressing in whole bunches untrimmed, followed by cold settling for 2 days. Fermentation is carried out with native yeasts, and malolactic fermentation occurs in barrels.

Aging: The wine undergoes a long maturation in oak barrels for 20 months with no batonnage, and is bottled unfined and unfiltered with 25ppm SO2.
