Wine Critic Reviews
Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider (94): Flowers, cherries, and tobacco show easily on the nose. The wine is medium-bodied, elegant, fresh, clean, and pure, with silky tannins and a vibrancy that give the perfect amount of lift for the sweet, soft, red fruits. Give this a few years in the cellar and it will be just great to enjoy for 2 or more decades. The wine is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. The wine is aged in a combination of new and used French oak barrels with 30% of the wine aged in clay amphora. Drink from 2025-2050.
Falstaff (94): Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Sweet plum fruit, a hint of figs, some nougat, candied orange zest, fine herbal spice in the background. Juicy, elegant, fruity, subtle, ripe tannins, already very developed, remains persistent, nuances of cassis and blackberries on the finish, fine acidity on the aftertaste, ready to drink soon.
