Fratelli Grasso's Vallegrande Barbaresco 2020 is a testament to the rich heritage and traditional winemaking practices of the Piedmont region. This elegant wine showcases the finesse and power of Nebbiolo grapes, with tasting notes of ripe red raspberries, black cherries, and red currants, all complemented by undertones of leather and mountain herbs. The high elevation vineyards in Treiso contribute to its complex character, making it a true representation of the Barbaresco DOCG.
Composition: Nebbiolo
Winemaking: Fermentation in traditional large oak barrels
Aging: Aged for a minimum of 30 months in large old Slavonian oak barrels
Raffaele Vecchione - WinesCritic.com (92): Cherries, raspberries, currants, rosemary, and marjoram describe the sensory profile of good complexity. Full body, rustic tannins, and a medium-length finish. Better from 2025.
