The 2020 Ampeleia, 100% Cabernet Franc, is superb. Aromatic and layered, with striking textural intensity, the Ampeleia is so impressive in this tasting. The purity of the flavors is remarkable. This 2020 was done with fully destemmed fruit. It spent 42 days on the skins with submerged cap maceration at the end, and was aged entirely in cement. Ampeleia is releasing the 2020 after the 2021, a sage decision in my view.  Drinking window: 2025 - 2040
