Wine Enthusiast (91): No. 2 pencil, balsamic vinegar and black sesame open the nose, followed by wild strawberry and cherry tomato. Strawberry and cherry take over the palate before a coffee ground finish pointed up by stiff tannins.

Falstaff (94): Clear, intense ruby. Appealing nose with notes of tobacco, then nice raspberry and ripe dark cherry. The palate has plenty of sturdy tannins, coated with fine fruit texture, salty on the long finish.
