This Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Aimé Arnoux offers a complex profile that captivates with its rich flavors of dark fruit, herbs, and spices. The robust structure and long finish make it ideal for aging or pairing with hearty dishes.
Composition: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre. Vine age and soil type contribute to the unique profile of this wine.
Winemaking: Traditional fermentation methods are employed to enhance the natural characteristics of the grapes.
Aging: Aged in oak barrels to develop complexity and depth.
Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider (88): Light, garrigue-filled, fresh style with soft, elegant textures and a nice sweetness with lift in the kirsch filled finish. This will be quite nice on release. Drink from 2022-2028.
Falstaff (90): Intense garnet, purple reflections, a broad ochre lightening on the rim. Delicate notes of red forest berries, a touch of dried figs, notes of black cherries in the background, tobacco. Juicy, with a fresh structure, ripe plums, round tannins, a fine sweetness on the finish, long lasting, a good food companion.
