A blend of 64% Sémillon and 36% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2022 Blanc (edition number eight) offers up scents of lemon oil and polished oak. Picked at relatively low sugars by Napa standards, it's light to medium-bodied (12.6% alcohol), taut, fresh and verging on zesty, yet it has a silky touch to the texture on the finish (it spent nine months in 17% new French oak). I get the impression it could be reasonably long lived and more expansive sometime down the road, in the manner of some Australian versions of Semillon.
