Drinking window: 2027 - 2038
Dark and intense, the 2020 Brunello di Montalcino Piero smolders with a burst of crushed ashen stones, sage and incense before giving way to dried black cherry aromas. This is seamlessly silky and supple with vibrant red berry fruits and a spike of juicy acidity that keeps the experience energetic from start to finish. The 2020 finishes long and complex, leaving a flinty sensation, like liquid stone with depths of tart blackberry offset by hints of blood orange over a bed of the finest tannins imaginable. The complexity here is off the charts.

Vineyard:  100% Sangiovese. Spurred cordon training system. PRODUCTION AREA Piero's Vineyard 1.95 hectares of extension, located near the company centre (410 m above sea level) the grapes are selected separately to give life to the selection. South South East facing.
Soils: Clayey loam texture very rich in galestro
Winemaking: Maceration and alcoholic fermentation in steel vats at a controlled temperature (28-29°C). Aged for at least 24 months in French oak tonneaux (500 liters), followed by a long refinement in the bottle.
