“Lastly, the 2023 Gigondas La Louisiane comes from a single lieu-dit on the lower plain, just beside the estate. It has a pretty perfume of red and black fruits, spring flowers, crushed stone, and rose petals. These all carry to an incredibly pure, elegant, medium to full-bodied Gigondas that has fine tannins and a great finish.”

Terroir: Poor soil of ancient red alluvium with broken pebbles. Plots located on the middle terraces of the Gigondas Appellation in the locality known as La Louisiane.
Grape varieties: Grenache 80%, Mourvèdre 15%, Cinsault, Syrah 5%
Vine age: Grenache (1942), Mourvèdre (1977), Cinsault (1951)
Winemaking: Blending after fermentation. Maceration for 6 weeks in concrete tanks.
Aging: Aged for 12 months in oak casks. Bottled without fining or filtration.
